1. Controller

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by [ hosting provider, address, server location ]. When a page is accessed, the provider processes technically necessary access data (IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, referrer, browser and operating system details).

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in running the website securely and without disruption. The data is deleted after [ retention period, e.g. 7 days ]. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

3. No cookies, no tracking

We don’t use cookies, tracking pixels or any analytics or advertising tools. That’s why there’s no consent banner here either.

The only exception happens when you trigger it yourself: if you load the Google map, Google may set its own cookies. More on this in section 5.

4. Fonts

The fonts we use (Unbounded, Space Grotesk) are stored on our own server and delivered from there. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other third-party server, so your IP address is not passed on to anyone.

5. Map (Google Maps)

On the homepage and on The Venue, only the address is shown at first. Loading the page does not connect to any map service.

Only when you click “Load Google Maps” is an interactive map from Google embedded. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Your browser then connects to Google’s servers and transmits, among other things, your IP address. Google may set cookies and may also transfer the data to the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

The legal basis is the consent you give by clicking (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG). We don’t store this choice: after you reload the page, the map is no longer loaded automatically, which withdraws your consent for the future. What Google does with the data is described in Google’s privacy policy.

6. Contacting us and the form

If you email us or use the form on Get Involved, we process the details you provide – at least your name, email address and message – in order to answer your request.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where it concerns setting up a collaboration, otherwise (f) (legitimate interest in answering) or (a) (your consent). We delete the data once the request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods require otherwise.

7. Links to Instagram and the donation platform

We don’t embed any content from Instagram or GoFundMe directly. Our pages only contain ordinary links. Only when you click one of them do you leave this website – from then on, the provider’s privacy policy applies, and they may process your IP address and other data.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

10. Version

This policy applies from [ date of publication ]. We update it whenever something about the website changes.
